Dr. Alaa Mansour, BDS, PhD
Dr. Alaa Mansour is a certified periodontist who was born and raised in Egypt, where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in dentistry and specialty training in periodontology.
His passion for understanding the biological bases involved in bone regeneration motivated him to pursue postgraduate studies at McGill University in Montreal, where he worked toward obtaining a Ph.D. degree in biomedical sciences. During his journey at McGill University, he made significant discoveries in the field of tissue engineering, particularly in developing novel biomaterials for bone regeneration.
Dr. Mansour has several well-cited publications and has presented his work at multiple national and international conferences. He further advanced his expertise by obtaining another advanced certificate in Periodontics and Implantology from the School of Dental Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
His professional expertise includes non-surgical and surgical treatments of periodontal diseases, correction of gingival recessions, bone regeneration, and implant dentistry. He continuously updates his knowledge by reading journal papers and attending scientific conferences in periodontics and implant dentistry.
Dr. Mansour is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, as well as the Canadian and American Academy of Periodontology.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
